Speed Recorder
Laxven Speed cum Energy Recorder is designed to provide a reliable and accurate record of speed, time, distance and energy parameters of a EMU on which it is mounted. The system can be powered from the DC voltage available in the EMU. The system is suitable for voltage variations between 50 -140 V and is thus fit for application on all Indian Railway EMU/DEMU/MEMUs. The system produces a record of speed Vs distance, Speed Vs Time, Energy Vs distance, Energy Vs Time etc. traveled by the EMU on a Non Volatile Memory at two places for higher redundancy for any post-incident analysis. The system also provides digital display of various parameters and sounds audio-visual alarms on exceeding set speed limits and certain malfunctions of the system. The system is provided with the LCD display and alphanumeric keypad for entering the driver and EMU parameters. There are few
warning LED’s along with audible alarm, which alert the driver on deviating some of the specified parameters.

Laxven has speed cum energy recorder for EMU (Model: LAX2000E-EMU) to meet the RDSO specifications. Laxven has also developed the test equipment and calibration tools to calibrate the Microcontroller based speed cum energy recorders at the workshop as well as in the EMU.

LAX2000E-EMU is a Microcontroller based speed cum Energy Recorder cum Indicator unit with the memory capacity of 8 Hours of 1 sec data and 45 days of 20 sec interval data in a circular form first – in – first out on a PCMCIA Card. The data can be downloaded through a RS 232 serial port or from a memory reader unit.
